The purpose of this object series lies in orchestrating a tangible interface among three distinct lines, each imbued with unique attributes. Despite sharing a uniform curvature, these lines diverge in orientation, angle, and spatial separation, which leads to the emergence of forms with varied proportions. Modifying an object’s proportions and symmetry—or lack thereof—facilitates a systematic classification of shapes intrinsically linked to these objects. Moreover, this collection navigates the dichotomy between sharp and soft edges within a singular entity, presenting a study in contrasts. The deliberate selection of materials—plaster, concrete, Bismuth, and soap, each in distinct hues—serves to underscore the impact of materiality on the perception of sharpness and softness. This material experimentation opens avenues to appreciate how transparency, translucency, and opacity influence the observer’s engagement with an object’s edges and surfaces. At its core, the series beckons a deeper contemplation on the roles of proportion, symmetry, asymmetry, and orientation in shaping our understanding and appreciation of formal experiments and gestures.
